What do we do?

At WRAP, we champion equitable waste reclamation practices, fostering community engagement, advocacy, and education throughout New York City and beyond.

Who We Are

The WRAP acts as a hub for NYC waste reclamation, uniting individuals, groups, schools, and other organizations; building a network that can do more for more people. We engage with various reclamation practices- plastic recycling, food scrap composting, broken furniture repair, construction waste reuse, and many other methods of mitigating waste and transforming it into a resource. Our goal is consolidate various community efforts, enhance and support their impacts, and utilize our skills and experience to enable these programs as well as run programs of our own.

We seek to faciltate the use of waste as a raw material in the arts, construction, design, manufacturing and anywhere else where it can be sequestered from the environment and into something beautiful!
